The lakes here are an amazing site for bird watching – from waterbirds to mallee fowl and various raptors.

Columnar basalt has always been one of my favorite sights. Almost every column is five-sided throughout the deposits. But every once in a while, there will be a six-sided one. I wonder how, and why, that works out that way.
