I do not know where this week went, but it is Gone!!! I am one lucky girl, because I love my work and there is a lot of it. Having a boutique that fonctions (especially during this C19 situation) is indeed a challenge. My goal is to always have a product of quality that gives you.......my beloved clients.......the feeling that you are well dressed. I also want you to feel timeless but modern. I am not one for fashion gadgets, but I do enjoy a purchase to freshen my wardrobe each season. Mostly for mixing purposes. You know what I mean? Just a new accessory can make the other staples in your wardrobe come alive. I live in my basic cashmere pieces that I do for Crimson. Such easy styles and shapes to play with. These have indeed evolved with time. The silhouette needs to stay current. So, I am constantly tweaking to keep you looking Good!!! 😂🤷‍♀️😂 The only thing new today is my bandanna, because even this simple Iconic piece needs updating from time to time. This one is made of the lightest Italian cotton and gave my ultra classic look a little fun. They are available in my boutique and on the website. The track pant is an oldie but goodie from @chloe. Now everyone needs a navy blazer or two...mine is @arthurandfox. Grey crewneck from my shop and the white tee shirt (mostly hidden but another must have) @45r_official. Sneakers are @goldengoose and sunglasses @therow . OK that’s it....now let us dance into this weekend and try to have a laugh or two!!! Best accessory in Life!!!

A crisp fall day is my idea of perfection. I actually find a beautiful fall day to be full of romance and promises. My energy level is heightened as well!!! My goodness, I feel like writing my own romantic comedy!!! We need some positive and we need some pretty and we need a LOVE STORY that makes us believe in Beautiful Happy Endings. My daughter @indiasinsights and I loved doing this photo with @christophecufos for the Special Mode magazine of @madamefigarofr ........ I must admit it was a real privilege to work alongside my daughter. Quite exhilarating actually!!!

A cool 23 degrees here in Paris today and it feels like fall. It is in fact, just around the corner. Remember the movie starring Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks...You’ve Got Mail? I loved the line when he said something about offering Meg « a bouquet of freshly sharpened pencils » for starting back to school? Well, it went something like that. We need more movies like that. I am a self proclaimed Romantic Comedy Queen. Is there something new out I should see? Hit me up with some ideas? I’m Netflixed out of anything new. I am eager to swing into Fall. Got to put on a fave sweater today. Nothing says Fall like a navy cashmere crewneck. Today was the perfect weather to team that sweater with my old @dior striped denim pants. My favorite outfit will always be a jean....a white tee.....and a cashmere sweater. LOVE in the Time of COVID-19 includes me wearing flip flops in broad daylight in Paris. Please do not judge!!! They give me stress free simple pleasure. Go find yours!!!

As far as I am concerned Summer ain’t over ‘til it’s over!!! Why a cut off date when you’re having a good time!!! I am a strong believer in Pink. I like to think I inherited that from my Grandmother, Pearl. Pink was her favorite color. I will admit to needing to be in a good mood for pink. On the other hand, I guess this was not the case for my grandmother as she did not have different moods. Have you ever had the pleasure of being around someone who was or is always in a good mood? My grandmother was this person. Not a day went by that she did not show joy and kindness to those of us who were around. This was her only mood....day in....day out. I know she seeded a part of that in me. However, I could never be as good as she was, because I can react to others unkindness. She repeatedly told me that when you return unkindness to someone who has been unkind, you have lowered yourself to the same level of unkindness. Sorry, Granny, I’m guilty as charged!!! Working on that lesson from you, but I still have a journey ahead. Cotton voile and silk hand embroidered buttons and bodice. I always go back to this closet of a shop amongst the hundreds of others in the souks of Marrakech. These light as air kaftans are hidden away downstairs on a back shelf and wrapped up in thick paper to keep away the dust. Something so simple and so somptueuse that it’s only description should read « Hot Summer Nights ». Not for sale in my shop, because I enjoy my journey there just to buy one more. 🤍🤍🤍

A few of you asked me how I was doing my shirt sleeves in my post with the khaki shirt. So, here you go. This was the end of my day so forgive the wrinkles. Anyway, life is full of them!!! Wrinkles that is. P.S. My pant is @lapresticouiston and shoes are @belgianshoesnyc

Ever feel the need to drift? I just had to do so today. So, I drifted out the door of my boutique over to the 18th arrondissement otherwise known as Montmartre. I promised you a little sightseeing in Paris, so let’s have a walk together.

Actually it was too hot to go outside the shop, so I opted to stay inside.

Getting eerily quiet on the streets of Paris. Parisians leave for their yearly month long vacation in either July or August. The major exodus was this weekend. Normally at this time of year, we have so many wonderful tourists walking around and showing their appreciation of the city. The historical monuments, the incredible choices of museums....French bakeries, French people and the food and wine!!!! Their excitement and energy will not appear for us this summer. I just wanted to tell you how much you are missed. Truly missed. I am not just talking about those who push open the door to my boutique and come in for a chat. I am talking about that global community who travels far and wide to walk these same old cobbled streets you are seeing in this photo. I will walk them while thinking of you. I am a huge fan of old hand laid cobbled streets. So....’til next summer, take care of yourselves....take care of the others. We have a « rendez-vous », and I am counting on you to show up. Also hotter than.....you fill in the blank!!! So, needed light attire for my day. Poet’s shirt from my shop (long enough to wear outside and covers way past the bottom). Painter’s Pant from @45r_official is fab for summer as it is lighter than light denim. My @montecristi hat took six months to weave and is finer than fine. I think it was exactly one year ago that I posted a photo right here on Instagram wearing this same fave linen pant with yet another white shirt. I also remember when I bought this pink linen pant. I was on a week’s vacation in Palm Beach with my two daughters. That was 5 years ago. This year.....same time.....but a totally different story. My youngest is prepping for her bar exam which was cancelled for last month in a state that is now an epi-center for COVID-19 in the USA. It will now be on-line mid August from her apartment in San Francisco.....the city where she attended Hastings law school. Her job now on hold until this pandemic is on the wane. I did not start this narrative thinking of writing about Tatiana. However, my thoughts seem to cross the ocean this early morning in Paris to the expanse of all of the USA until she feels my love in California. So proud of this whole generation coming up on the front lines of their young adult lives. Talk about accountability? They seem to have invented the word, and I am not talking about money!!! Now back to linen pants and white shirts!!! I am now showcasing wrinkles on my clothes rather than on my face. 😂🤷‍♀️😂 Yep after a days’ wear, this is what happens to those natural fabrics and this is why I love them. So many individuals refuse to buy clothes in my shop, because « they wrinkle ». Is there a cream for that, too!!! Oh, I better get dressed and go to work. Too many mood swings this morning. Are you guys experiencing this? I am long past menopause!!! Something in the air, perhaps? 1) White Capri shirt available on my website and in the shop.....also in black or navy blue. @lamaisonenpierre_shop makes the loveliest bags from vintage linens. The young lady who had this marvelous idea to recycle and reuse vintage fabric lives in Provence. It is her life in Luberon that inspires her work. This is just another story that I wanted to share.....Paris to Provence to You. Thank you, Anna, I love my new bag!!! P.S. Nothing says summer like a baggy linen pant and this one is from @45r_paris worn with my own shirt design as seen on my website. Sandals are the Tropezienne from @rondini_officiel in their Bordeaux color. Yes, I know I sport my initials A LOT!!! What can I say except it just makes my wardrobe seem more personal to me. And I like that feeling.

That smile on my face? It is a smile of confidence. You see....it was the day I realized that my life would know the depth of a love That knows NO limits. EVER. Ode to a Summer Sweatshirt. I like mine in royal blue. And you? I have absolutely loved my few days in Normandy. The weather was absolutely perfection with blue skies and a cool breeze from the sea. Back to Paris and serious mask wearing tomorrow. That’s OK, too. Need to do what we need to do in order to protect others and ourselves.
